Chief Executive Officer and Owner of Blue Ridge Bucha
During my two decades of experience providing leadership and advice to dozens of emerging growth startups, I have served in a wide variety of roles, including as founder, senior executive, advisor, investor, and outside legal partner. I excel in high growth situations and thrive as a strong and steady force in an environment where there is constant change and ambiguity. Over the past 4 years, I have overseen fundraising in excess of $200 million and managed the organizational growth and development of two companies that have collectively hired in excess of 300 people. I love to devise efficient solutions to complex problems and I pride myself on my ability to provide business-minded advice to stakeholders up and down an organization and communicate clearly across all functions. As an executive, my expertise is in strategic planning, fundraising, cross-functional communications, calibrating and managing risk, and organizational development. In the legal world, I specialize in digital media, online privacy and security, negotiating and drafting various kinds of licenses and contracts, venture capital and other securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, managing and protecting intellectual property portfolios, employee equity, and compliance management. In the technology world, I am very interested in SaaS, new media, hardware (both tech and maker), security, logistics, and e-commerce -- although I am always excited to work with anyone that is doing interesting things.
